What you'll make

A hand-forged steel rose. Petals shaped from sheet steel, leaves drawn and veined, stem twisted from rod. Full sculptural piece — three-dimensional, individually shaped petals, the kind of work that takes the full afternoon. Iron is the traditional sixth-anniversary gift; a forged rose is the version that means it.

You forge the entire rose. I coach through every step. This is the most ambitious project on the list before the chef's knife. Expect to work hard.

Where it happens

The forge comes to you. Backyards, AirBnB driveways, brewery yards, ranch properties, parks — anywhere with about 16x13 of outdoor space and 15 feet of clearance from buildings. Travel within 15 miles of Greeley included; further distances quoted by trip. Shipping at customer cost; local delivery within 15 miles included.

Logistics
